Double the Kitchen Space

This remodeling project doubled the space of the existing kitchen. We achieved this by removing the wall between the previous kitchen and an unused den. The distended space opened the kitchen up for designing around a large island for cooking and entertaining. We widened the opening between the kitchen area and the family room. Furthermore, we removed an exterior window and installed a sliding glass door for accessing the deck.

The island includes a cook-top, hidden down draft exhausted vent, prep sink, and a mini refrigerator. The wall cabinetry comprises a double oven, microwave cabinet, and a pantry cabinet. New dark stained hardwood floors and recessed lighting were installed throughout. We finished off the kitchen with light and dark grey Quartz counter tops with brushed nickel fixtures and sinks.

Additional features include under-cabinet lighting, glass tile back slashes, brushed nickel hardware and electrical outlets, and a complete rewiring.
